Neck Lift
Due to the age, excessive weight gain and loss, and genetic factors, sagging and wrinkles occur in the area under the chin. These changes make the person look older. If a person loses too much weight, sagging is inevitable. In these cases a neck lift procedure is the best option to go.
How is neck lift operation performed?
It is performed under general anesthesia. The surgeon makes a tiny incision starting from the front of the ear that turns towards the back of the ear. The soft tissues that cover the muscles are elevated and stretched. Excess skin is removed before the skin is stitched. If there is excess fat under the chin, it is removed by liposuction. Sagging skin becomes more obvious in patients that has relatively smaller chin bones. It is also possible to place implants into the chin in order to stretch the skin under the chin in a neck lift operation.
What to consider before neck lift surgery?
Before a neck lift procedure, it is necessary to stop consuming blood thinners such as Asprin in order not to increase the bleeding during the procedure. Patients should stop smoking 3 weeks before the procedure. It would be useful to keep your hair long to hide the post-operative scars around the neck and chin
How to take care after neck lift?
After neck lift surgery, patient usually is discharged the day after the surgery. It can be useful to apply cold compresses around the intervened area to avoid swelling. Patient can take a shower 2 days after the surgery. It is possible to have numbness for a few weeks. It is recommended to be gentle whilst combing your hair or applying make up. At least for 2 weeks physical and sexual activity should be avoided. The patient should use sun protection creams regularly for 6 months. All the swelling and bruises disappear in 3 weeks after the surgery.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My experience with Berat at TravelMEDI was exceptional from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble any questions I may have had were answered promptly and efficiently. The treatment I received was fantastic from my surgeon to the hospital staff who were outstanding the hospital and Hotel beat anything in the UK. Where do I start? I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the beginning until the end, Travelmedi looked after myself, my husband and even our little girl. They made us feel so comfortable and respected.

I came to travel medi on a recommendation for a breast uplift and augmentation but being only 22 I was extremely nervous and it was my first surgery also. Berat was just amazing I cannot talk higher of him! He made the whole experience every single step as seamless as possible, I was given a whole itinerary and Berat still kept me updated and went through every step I did by my side. Every consultation appointment every time I had to leave the hotel he was there with us, he is so so lovely kind caring and any question or query(not that I had many) he answered almost immediately!
I went to a different surgeon than what I was supposed to but it was the best decision ever made. Professor Mustafa Keskin is top of the game and he was absolutely brilliant and went into so much detail about every single aspect of the surgery.
I was extremely nervous about having surgery but he was amazing. Berat was with me every step of the way till I was being wheeled down for surgery! When I woke up in the morning he was there for my release and accompanied me in the car back to the hotel.
Travel Medi is an amazing company to go with, from start to finish my whole process was completely seamless and stress free. They sort everything out so all you have to do is turn up! Every time we left the hotel for a consultation or blood work our driver was there to take us wait and pick us up. Berat is a credit to Travel Medi he’s an absolute diamond! From the very first contact made with travelmedi the service was amazing. They were so thorough with all their questions and as a mother allowing her child at 17 years old to under go any surgery never mind surgery in another country I say I had nothing to worry about. They made great contact right up to appointment. From the first greeting at airport until the last drop bk at airport to return was excellent service. And that wasn't the end they still made contact to see how her healing process was and I honestly would recommend them to anyone. The service in turkey was for a breast reduction and from her first appointment until her last the staff were so helpful pleasant and very caring.

Honestly couldn't recommend anyone more. From start to finish I have been kept informed and reassured with everything. Any questions I had Berat answered quickly and made me feel very comfortable going forward with the surgery. I had the surgery less that a week ago and I am already massively happy with the results I have and can't wait till I am fully healed for the finished look! If anyone is unsure of travelling to Turkey or who to go with regarding surgey, TravelMedi is for sure the best!
