Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a treatment method which consists of the injection of various vitamins, minerals, amino-acids, enzymes and growth factors in the skin. Through the process, a special formulation is directly injected into the area thus making process much more efficient than oral topical applications. It is performed either manually with needles or mesotherapy devices. It is mostly applied to:
- Mesotherapy for scalp
- Mesotherapy for face
- Mesotherapy for body
Hair Mesotherapy
It can be used for various objectives:
- Preventing hair loss
- Strengthening the weak hair
- Providing a better healing process after a hair transplant
Is the procedure painful?
A mild pain may be experienced during the first injections but afterwards scalp is numbed and the pain decreases. It does not have to be performed under anesthesia.
How many sessions do I need to have?
At least 4 sessions are required for an effective hair mesotherapy
Facial Mesotherapy
It is mainly used in facial area with the aim of:
- Moisturizing dry skin
- Making the wrinkles disappear and skin lift. (Mesolift)
- Giving the face a more vivid and lively look
- Treating dark spots on the skin
Facial mesotherapy can be used for many purposes but the patient should be examined to see if he/she is suitable and can get satisfying results. After the examination, it can be performed using the proper ingredients for the patient.
Is the procedure painful?
It might be mildly painful, therefore anaesthetic cream is applied to the patient’s face.
Body Mesotherapy
It can be applied in various body parts as well.
- Cellulitis treatment
- Stretch marks treatment
- Lifting and stretching the skin after liposuction
- Tightening saggy skin in some areas such as inner thighs and abdomen.
Before the body mesotherapy, patient goes through a body examination. Proper ingredients are determined and the procedure is performed.
Is the procedure painful?
It might be mildly painful, therefore anaesthetic cream is applied before the procedure.
How many sessions should I have?
It takes an average of 4 sessions and often require maintenance sessions each 3 or 6 months.
How long does the procedure take?
It takes approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the size of the area that it will be applied.
What should I know for the post-procedure?
You should not bathe, shower or go into a sauna or Turkish bath on the day of the surgery. Applied area should not be scratched, massaged, rubbed, and any product – unless requested by the doctor – should not be used on the applied area. In addition, patients should not wear tight clothes afterwards.
Does the procedure have any side effects?
It may cause a mild rash. This rash disappears within 1-2 hours. Other than this, small bruises might occur but they disappear within 1-2 weeks. Patients can return to their daily routines on the same day of the surgery.
